Moose and Bald Eagles are the most often sighted on our tours. The animals and birds are comfortable with the presence of the boats and often times, they will watch you with curiosity, as you are taking their photo. Trumpeter Swans are frequently seen during the early and late months of the summer. July is when the Swans will be off nesting and tending to their young and will start appearing again in mid August.
The animals are wild and free to roam. The Bald Eagle Preserve is
48,000 acres in total, and the river system where the boats operate, is in the middle of the Preserve. Although animal sightings are very frequent, it is never a guarantee. It is helpful if you assist the guide in spotting for animals and birds during your tour.
